The Environment Audit Committee has previously inquired into nitrate pollution in rivers and has extended this to focus on the impacts of the water industry and urban diffuse pollution. It recognises how inland water quality effects the whole ecological system, including the health and wellbeing of the population. We have submitted evidence to contribute to the inquiry and, we hope, to offer resilient and cheaper solutions to ‘business as usual’.
